Days Between Stations

Days Between Stations is an American Progressive-Rock-/Art-Rock-Band.

History

The duo from the Iranian-born guitarist and keyboardist Sepand Samzadeh Oscar Fuentes took place in 2003 together in Los Angeles after Samzadeh had placed an ad in the Music Connection magazine. The band took its name from a published 1985 novel by Steve Erickson. 2004 sent both a CD full of improvisations Bruce Soord The Pineapple Thief, the parts thereof 12 Stories Down used.

For the production of their first album dedicated Samzadeh Fuentes and the Young Dubliners drummer Jon Mattox, guitarist Jeremy Castillo, the Argentine bassist Vivi Rama, the saxophonist Jason Hemmens, singer Hollie Shepard, Sean Erick trumpeter and trombonist Kevin Williams. Samzadehs Uncle Jeffrey Samzadeh singing some passages in the style of traditional Iranian music a ( Requiem for the Living).

The self-titled debut CD was released in October 2007 on Bright Orange Records, with the assistance of sound engineer Evren Goknar that already for Queensrÿche, Red Hot Chili Peppers and Yes has worked.

The second album In Extremis was recorded with high-profile guest musicians such as Peter Banks, Tony Levin, Rick Wakeman, Billy Sherwood and Colin Moulding ( XTC ) and published in 2013.
