De'Teri Mayes

De'Teri Jabbar Mayes (* August 5, 1974 ) is an Austrian professional basketball player.

With its 1.89 m he plays on the position of the Shooting Guard of the current Austrian champion basketball Allianz Swans Gmunden. Before he came to Austria, he first played at Wallace State Community College, but then switched after two seasons for Murray State University. In his last year in the United States, he scored an average of 21.5 points per game. In the season 2006/ 07 he came to 25.3 points on average at a higher than average for Guards hit rate of 49%. In the seasons 02/ 03, 03/ 04, 05/ 06 and 06/ 07, he was elected to the Austrian basketball league for major players (Most Valuable Player). Then there was 2006/ 07 of the MVP title of the finals series, who won the Allianz Swans. After the contract was not renewed for the 2011/12 season in Gmunden, he moved to the Kapfenberg Bulls, where he received a two -year contract.

Austrian National Team

The native Americans played in the European Championship Qualifiers 2005 ( Division B) for the Austrian national team. With 18.9 points, he was the top scorer of the team ahead of Bernd Volcic ( 13.5 P.). His throw percentage from the field was 61 %, of 35 free throws he could turn 30 ( 86%). In the rear- round match against Albania he could reach his record again with 30 points scored. After completing the 1st place in Group C was reached, the team had to take 2 losses in the relegation for the promotion to the Division A against Macedonia.
