De Kelders ( Afrikaans, German as: " the cellar ") is a coastal village in the municipality of over beach in the Western Cape Province in South Africa. In 2011, he had 1,070 inhabitants. Through numerous natural caves, the city is practically built. One of the caves, the De Kelders gave the name, is the only cave with a freshwater source directly on the coast of Africa. It promotes natural mineral water and was discovered in 1798. It is located immediately below the De Kelders Whale viewpoint.

Most caves can be visited, the freshwater cave, however, is closed. This cave is privately owned. It live in thousands of bats.

The view that one has of the caves, extends over the entire Walker Bay. This ranges from Danger Point ( Gansbaai ) via Hermanus to Hangklip. On a clear day, the view extends to the Cape of Good Hope.
