Deadman Zone

As Deadman zone called the fire department, particularly in English-speaking area at the side of the current forest fire. Forest fires spread shown in simplified form from their origin in wind direction triangular shape from the two legs while limiting Deadman zone. Staying in this zone is particularly dangerous, as in a sudden change of wind direction, the fire moved into the Deadman Zone and there can endanger emergency personnel. For large fires, the fire moved then usually at such high speed forward that escape on foot is no longer possible. This has already led to multiple fatalities.

As in Germany almost no forest fires of this magnitude occur and thus enters no serious threat to the force, there is no German term for this.
