The Debed (Armenian Դեբեդ ) or Debeda (Georgian დებედა ) is a river in the Caucasus. It originates in northern Armenia in the province of Lori, near the village Dsech by the confluence of Pambak and Dsoraget. It flows from there first north, then northeast. He passed the small town of Alaverdi and finally reaches the Georgian border, where it turns to the west. Near the Georgian town of Sadakhlo it forms for several kilometers a natural border between Armenia and Georgia. The Debed now flows in a wide arc to the north and later east. After a total of 176 kilometers, it flows into the Chrami, which opens shortly after the Azerbaijani border in the Kura. Thus, the Debed is one of the five largest rivers of Armenia.

In Alaverdi since 1195 spans the Sanahinbrücke in a 18 m wide arc of the river, it is considered today as the oldest extant bridge of Armenia.
