Debre Markos ( Amharic ደብረ ማርቆስ däbrä marqos, also Debre Marqos, Mankorar ) is a city in the Amhara Region of Ethiopia. The city lies at 2446 m altitude. The city was the residence city of Negus Tekle Haymanot.
