Dębska Kuźnia

Dembiohammer (Polish Dębska Kuźnia ) is a place in the Upper Silesian community Chrząstowice ( Chrząstowice ) in the powiat Opolski in the Opole Voivodeship in Poland.

Geography

Dembiohammer located 12 kilometers southeast of the city center of Opole in the sky witzer water in the historic Upper Silesia.

History

The town was first mentioned in 1531. 1783 built the hut Malapaner a steel mill in Dembiohammer. 1931, the station was opened.

In the plebiscite in Upper Silesia on 20 March 1921 which was accompanied in the area of civil wars, voted in Dembiohammer 356 persons to remain in Germany and 206 for Poland. Dembiohammer remained as the entire voting district Opole the German Reich.

From 1933 the new Nazi rulers led by large-scale renaming of place names of Slavic origin. 1936, the town was renamed in Eichhammer.

In 1945, it was under Polish administration and renamed Dębska Kuźnia. 1950 Dembiohammer part of the Opole Voivodeship and 1999 the restored powiat Opolski. Since 25 January 2006, German in the community Chrząstowice, belonging to the place, the second official language. In May 2008, the site received the additional official place names Dembiohammer.
