Declinometer

Deklinograph (also Deklinometer ) is a 1878 by Rudolf Fuess Berlin precision mechanic device designed for graphical recording of Deklinationsdifferenzen in astronomy.

The Deklinograph has two steel spikes, one of which with the declination serving for movable thread of the impersonal micrometer, the other is connected to the fixed parts of the ocular piece. Against these tips a paper strip is pressed at the time of setting, and the distance between the two made ​​from the tips of brands that can be measured later, are the Deklinationsdifferenz.
