Deep South Wrestling

Deep South Wrestling, short DSW, is the name of a U.S. wrestling promotion, which is located in McDonough, Georgia. Promoter is Jody Hamilton.

History

The promotion was set up in 1986 by Hamilton and Bill Behrens as part of the National Wrestling Alliance and was then as NWA Deep South Wrestling, a sub-organization of NWA World Championship Wrestling. DSW was a development territory of WCW.

In 1988, the promotion was closed and incorporated into the WCW. Hamilton was head coach of the WCW Power Plants.

On 1 September 2005, the promotion was reactivated and a sub-organization of World Wrestling Entertainment. DSW now formed a developmental territory of WWE.

Because of substantial disagreement between Vince McMahon and the WWE Hamilton on 18 April 2007 announced that they had separated, with immediate effect from DSW and got rid of those a day later from their website. Served as the grounds that the WWE was not happy with the development status of the DSW wrestler. The league held a few events under his own banner, but was closed in the same year.
