Defeated Sanity is a Bavarian Technical and Brutal Death Metal band from Dachsbach, which was founded in 1994.

History

The band was formed in 1994 by guitarist Wolfgang Teske and drummer Lille Gruber. Her first appearances followed in 1996 with bassist Jonas Gruber and singer Robert Colnik. In the same year appeared with Devoured by the black the first demo, which Withdrawn From Beauty 1998 joined. As new members after bassist Tino Köhler and guitarist Christian Münzner the process of casting. (guitar). In 2001, a split release on Czech label Grodhaisn Productions was released along with Poppy Seed Grinder. As a new singer Markus Keller came to Defeated Sanity. In the same year also appeared another split release with Imperious Malevolence. This was the last recordings on the Christian Muenzner was heard before he joined Necrophagist.

In late 2004, the album Prelude to the Tragedy appeared on Grindethic Records. After singer Jens Staschel, guitarist Christian Kuehn and bassist Jacob Schmidt came to the band. In August 2006, the band went into the Sound Lodge Studios to record the album Psalms of the Moribund record, which also appeared on Grindethic Records in early 2007. 2009 the band signed a contract with Willowtip Records and Chapters of Repugnance published in 2010.

Style

The band plays a mix of Technical and Brutal Death Metal. The guttural singing is extremely low, so that it is barely audible. The band's music is described as a mixture of Disgorge and Devourment.
