Defecation a grindcore project was consisting of guitarist Mitch Harris and drummer Mick Harris.

History

Mick Harris, the drummer of Napalm Death and Mitch Harris, guitarist with Righteous Pigs, met in the summer 1987 in Las Vegas know. The unrelated musicians had previously correspondence. Within two weeks in the spring of 1989, a full-length album was written and to March 8, 1989, recorded on 6 in Worcester, England. It was produced by Danny Lilker and published shortly thereafter by Nuclear Blast. In 1990, Mitch Harris of the Righteous Pigs for Napalm Death, who stood with Earache Records. Although the duo had a second album for Nuclear Blast Intention Surpassed already written, but were contracted to Earache. Since Nuclear Blast had already paid an advance for the second album, it could not be published in Earache. To avoid disputes, Mick Harris left the project in 1991 and Mitch Harris in 1992 founded his side project Meathook Seed. Some of the songs were already written on Utopia Banished by Napalm Death use.

After Napalm Death had fulfilled his contract with Earache, Mitch Harris was able to resume with the help of producer Russ Russell 's second album. Some of the songs came from the songwriting to the non- published second album, part new Harris wrote. The process was delayed by the same time held shots to Napalm Death album Order of the Leech. In August 2003, appeared the second and so far last album of the project with Nuclear Blast. In retrospect, Harris described it as an error to include a second album, it would have been with which it will be a classic Purity Dilution at that.
