The stretching head in resin is an approximately 775 m above sea level. NN high hill near peat house in the unincorporated area of the county resin Goslar in Lower Saxony.

Geographical location

The stretching head is in the Upper Harz Harz National Park, the just west of the survey of the nature park adjoins resin. It rises about 1.1 kilometers west-northwest of peat house, a district of the mountain town Altenau. To the east lie the larks heads ( 821 m) and to the west is the Mittelberg ( 667.1 m). In the southwest the landscape merges with the Bruchberg (approx. 927 m). On the northern edge of the head stretching forth the Oker inflow calving and the current flowing through the Kellwassertal Oker inflow Kellwasser. West past the small Kellwasser tributary flows hub. About 500 m northeast of the summit runs the highway 4, approximately west running state road 504 ( Steep Wall Street ) branches off from the in peat house to Altenau.

Mountain height

The stretching head is about 775 m high. A few meters west-northwest of its summit is topographic maps to take out a farm on 773.6 m height measuring point.

Hiking

About 600 m southwest of the head stretching Summit is the Virgin cliff ( 51.80408333333310.513527777778 ⊙ ), which reaches a maximum of about 660 m. The rock formation is included as No. 221 in the system of stamp locations of the Harz hiking pin. The stamp box is located a few meters east of the cliff on a gravelled forest and hiking trail that leads down slightly towards the southeast to near the beginning of the continental shelf Upper Harz Water dam trench.
