Geographical location

Deißlingen is located on the upper reaches of the river Neckar, about seven kilometers from the district town of Rottweil in the region Schwarzwald-Baar -Heuberg. In the district of Deißlingen is also the state railway Trossingen.

Community structure

The community Deißlingen consists of the parts of the municipality Deißlingen and Deißlingen - Lauffen. The community members are spatially identical to the previous communities Deißlingen and Lauffen ob Rottweil. The two parts form community residential districts within the meaning of Baden-Württemberg municipal code, the community part - Deißlingen Lauffen also forms a town within the meaning of Baden-Württemberg municipal code with private Ortschaftsrat and mayor and a local Administrator.

History

The parish of Deißlingen is one of the oldest in the former Upper Rottweil, first mentioned in 802 under the name Vila Tussenlinga. Even older are finds from the Roman period (for example Badanlage under the Catholic Church ) and the settlement by the Alamanni ( Graves 1930 and 1990 exposed ).

Later Deißlingen passed through donations and sale of ecclesiastical, monastic property in imperial city, rottweilerischen possession, from the end of the 18th century, it was able to solve the self-government itself. Lauffen ob Rottweil first written in 1248, coupled with a freight possession of the Cistercian monastery of Salem. More connected is the history Lauffens with the nearby monastery Rottenmünster, which had many possessions on the boundary Lauffen and to which it belonged administratively to the founding of Oberamt Rottweil. The church today has been the Association of Municipalities Deißlingen (Schwarzwald -Baar -Kreis) and Lauffen ob Rottweil ( district of Rottweil ) re-formed on 1 January 1974. Here, the nucleus Deißlingen moved back to the district of Rottweil.

Religions
