Delphin Enjolras

Delphin Enjolras ( born May 13, 1857 in Courcouron, Ardèche, † 1945) was a French painter.

Life

Delphin Enjolras studied at the École de décoration de la Ville de Paris under Gaston Gerard. Later, he and Pascal Adolphe Dagnan - Bouveret pupil of Jean -Léon Gérôme and Gustave Claude Etienne Courtois at the École des Beaux -Arts in Paris. In 1889 Enjolras debuted at the Société des Artistes Français and specialized in landscape painting. In 1890 Enjolras first exhibition in the Salon de Paris took place, on which he regularly participated in the sequence. During this time he opened his first atelier in Paris. Beginning of the 20th century changed Enjolras his genre, by focusing mainly on the portraiture of elegant young women.

Delphin Enjolras works can be seen, among others, the Musée du Puy and Musée d' Avignon.
