Delta Valley and Southern Railway

The Delta Valley and Southern Railway ( DVS ) is an American railway company in Arkansas. With a length of 3.2 km, it has the shortest route network of a Short Line Railroad. The company is headquartered Wilson. The depot is located in Evadale. The company was founded on June 27, 1934 as the 29 km long stretch of Delpro after Tyronza of the St. Louis - San Francisco Railway was purchased. 1947, the distance between Tyronza and Elkins was shut down.

To operate park was a diesel locomotive GE 45 -tonner No. 50 and 200 freight cars. The locomotive was purchased new in 1954. On 24 January 2007 the locomotive was added to the National Register of Historic Places under No. 06,001,263.

Transport goods are agricultural products and industrial goods. The transport volume includes about 600 freight cars per year.

The Company is in possession of the family enterprise Lee Wilson & Co.
