Demetrios Lialios

Dimitrios Lialios (Greek Δημήτριος Λιάλιος, * 1869 in Patras, † March 13, 1940 ) was a Greek composer of classical music.

Lialios studied at the Royal School of Music in Munich under Ludwig Thuille. Between 1919 and 1935, was Lialios Vice Consul of Greece in Munich. Lialios was the first Greek composer turned to chamber music.

He created more than 100 works, including 22 orchestral works, 14 chamber works, a requiem, an opera and two compositions for Greek Orthodox liturgies.
