Democratic Forum of Germans in Romania

The Democratic Forum of Germans in Romania ( DFDR, Romanian: Forumul Democrat al din România Germanilor ( FDGR ) ) is the political representation of Germans in Romania. It was founded in late 1989 in Romania. Already in the period 1919-1940 was with the German party political representation of Germans in Romania.

Representation in parliament

All 18 state-recognized ethnic minority in Romania is the Romanian minority- friendly electoral legislation, regardless of the election result of their political representatives each have a deputy in the 341 -member Chamber of Deputies to. Municipal mandates and mayors

Since 2000, the DFDR won on local political level considerably in relevance. In Sibiu, the grouping since 2000 the mayor and received in 2004, 60.43 % of the votes for the city council. In Sibiu County Council (responsible for around 450,000 inhabitants) presented the DFDR from 2004 to 2008 with 11 of the 33 seats the largest party. After the 2008 election the DFDR holds the mayors in Sibiu, Heltau, Freck, in seven municipalities in the county of Satu Mare and in a community in the Karasch -Severin county. Also, the county council president Martin Bottesch was confirmed in office. Klaus Johannis was re-elected for the second time. Councilors or aldermen of the DFDR in Southern Transylvania, there are also in candle, present, Reps, inside square brackets, and floor Großlasseln village. Elected in 2012

In the local elections of 10 June 2012, the Forum was able to win nine mayors chair. Klaus Johannis was elected with 77.9 % of the vote in Sibiu in a fourth term, his party received 55.15 %, was able to win a city council seat, and is now 15 of 23 city councils again an absolute majority. In Freck / Avrig Arnold Klingeis was confirmed as mayor and elected to a second term. Johann Krech ran after three terms of office (2000-2012) is no longer in Heltau / Cisnadie, there was Gheorghe Huja of the Social-Liberal Union ( USL ) new mayor. At county level, Martin Bottesch received 55 514 votes, which came mainly from the urban constituencies, while Ioan Cindrea ( USL ) was able to score in the rural area and with 70 479 votes was first. Cornel Ştirbeţ of the PDL was third with 33,633 votes. For the Sibiu County Council ( consiliu Judetean ), the Forum has achieved nine mandates and thus became the second largest party, according to the USL with 13 PDL received seven seats and the People's Party Dan Diaconescu (PP- DD) three. The right-wing nationalist party " Totul pentru Tara " was able to win with only 309 no mandate, as well as the Roma Party " Alianta Civica a Romilor " with only 499 votes.

Outside the circle Sibiu scored the forum especially in Sathmar country good results, where seven forum candidates were elected as mayors: Mihai Löchli in Schamagosch / Ciumesti, Imre Sütö in Kalmandi / Camin, Gheorghe -Otto Marchi in Petri box / Petreşti, Gabor Fezer in Terem / Tiream, Ioan Zoltan Kardosi in Stanyslaviv / Sanislău, Iosif Mellau Schinal / Urziceni and Gheorghe Nicolae Gyákon in Turterebesch / Turulung. In Kronstadt / Brasov, the Forum was the first move since its establishment in the city council and two city councils appoint, Cristian Machedonschi and Werner Braun. Machedonschi was also a candidate for the office of mayor, however, was only third. First was George Scripcaru of the PDL. In two communities of Burzenlandes and in a community of Repser Ländchen also stood as a candidate forum members, but were unable to reach majority, in Heldsdorf / Halchiu and Zeiden / Coldea and damage Rosh / Soars. The result in the Banat fell out weak, only Helen Wolf was elected in Timişoara / Timişoara in the City Council, as well as Adam Csonti in the council of Billed.
