Democratic Left People's Party

The Demokratik Halk Partisi Sol, DSHP, ( German: Democratic Left People's Party) was a political party in the Republic of Turkey.

The founder of the Democratic Left Party Rahsan Ecevit founded the Democratic Left People's Party with other former DSP members who were also dissatisfied with the political course of the DSP after the death of Bülent Ecevit. In May 2010, after Deniz Baykals withdrawal from Cumhuriyet Halk Partisi the leadership of the (CHP ), there was strong support for Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu within the left -wing media. Rahsan Ecevit also supported Kılıçdaroğlu, in order to preserve the unity of the Turkish left. She joined the CHP congress 22 May 2010, was elected as the new Chairman Kılıçdaroğlu.
