Dendrological Garden in Przelewice

The Dendrologic garden in Przelewice [ pʃɛlɛvitsɛ ] ( German Prillwitz ) is an arboretum in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship in Poland.

History

On May 26, 1834 Auguste Prillwitz died at the age of 33 in Berlin, probably from tuberculosis. She was transferred to Prillwitz and buried there in the church on July 1, 1834. In the park, a mausoleum was erected in 1835, in which the coffins of Auguste of Prill wit and two died young children found a place. On July 19, 1843, died Prince August of Prussia; the Good took over the will of the father, his son of the same name, August.

Under Caspar Lachmann and his heirs of the garden back got 1879-1922 his naturalistic style and behind the castle terrace was filled. 1922-1924 endeavored Conrad von Borsig successfully for the right to the estate to buy, and finally acquired Prillwitz without the Vorwerk Luisenhof ( Lucin today ), where 34 farms for settlers originated. 1933 was Conrad von Borsig remodel the park according to his wishes. This task was a landscape architect Heyden Empire of the horticultural company Späth. The park was enlarged up to 22 ha. The redesign of the park was completed in 1938. At the meeting in 1938 of the German Society Dendrological in Szczecin Conrad held by Borsig a talk about his new park (Yearbook of the DDG 51 ). Conrad von Borsig was shot on February 13, 1945 by Soviet soldiers and buried in the park near the shepherd's hut. His resting place today symbolizes a great stone under the larch.

In 1948 the People's Council of the Province of the manor house, the farm buildings and the park; in the manor house service apartments, storage rooms and a common area to be created. Henryk Chylarecki by the Forestry Faculty of the University of Poznan inventoried in 1951 the park as part of his master's thesis under the direction of Konstanty Stecki; the park was registered as a dendrologically - Pomologischer garden. In the following nine years care of him Adam, the gardener Brzęczyk and J. Winter. In 1955, a Scientific Secretary of the Arboretum in Przelewice under the direction of Stefan Białobok; the Council was active until 1965.

1975 Lecturer Henryck Chylarecki was scientific director of the arboretum and began work on the collection. He stated the number of collection 1200 tree and shrub species. The design and maintenance of the park was subject to the LPG Förster H. Gosek; in the park was a reservoir. 1976 Dendrologic garden was entered in the register of monuments under the number 791 and the manor house at number 792. In 1977, forest scientist Zbigniew Kozak the technical support of the arboretum. By the year 1980, the original aqueduct were restored in the park, renewed garden paths and installed a greenhouse at the nursery in Kłodzino. 1982 Łucja Swiłło technical director of the arboretum, which undertook a reassessment of the arboretum and nursery initiated. In 1983, the first repair work at the mansion, especially in the foundation walls and the roof, interrupted due to lack of money.

1987 Henryk Chylarecki worked on behalf of the Woiwodschaftsamtes in Szczecin the project of a revaluation of the Arboretum from.

In 1992, the State Treasury as part of the dissolution of the communist farms the Dendrological garden with farm house and Vorwerk buildings.

The authorities gave 1993 the garden of the church Przelewice; Łucja Swiłło was director. Since 1996 she is responsible for the collection as a Deputy Director. In 2003, Katazyrna Misiak the care of the garden.

1996 Dendrologic garden was an independent operation under Maria Jolanta Syczewska that guides him to this day. In 2000 they created in the garden a Science Education Center under the direction of Katzyrna Misiak. The garden won the gold medal of the Ministry of Culture for the " best monument object managed in Poland." 2004 to 2006 the manor was restored and passed as Botanical research and development center, with 15 ha new nurseries, greenhouses and orangery in May 2006 for use.
