Dendromus mystacalis

The tree climbing mice or mice ( Dendromurinae ) form a subfamily of mouse -like. There are 22 species, all of which are common in sub-Saharan Africa. Here they inhabit all habitats and are seen both in the savannah and rain forests. Requirement for most species is the presence of trees, but despite the name, not all members of this subfamily a climbing lifestyle.
