Dennewitzplatz is a village in the municipality Niedergörsdorf in the south of the district of Teltow -Flaming in Brandenburg. In the village live around 320 inhabitants.

History

The town was first mentioned in 1174 as Danewiz. The name derives from the Slavic personal name Dan.

On September 6, 1813, the Battle of Dennewitz took place around Dennewitzplatz. 1815, until then the Electorate of Saxony village was forcibly transferred as a result of the Congress of Vienna to Prussia.

On 31 December 1997, the city was incorporated into Neugörsdorf.
