Dennis Ralston

Richard Dennis Ralston ( born July 27, 1942 in Bakersfield, California ) is a former American professional tennis player.

At the Wimbledon Championships, he won the 1960 together with the Mexican Rafael Osuna in double against the British Mike Davies and Bobby Wilson in three sets 7:5, 6:3 and 10:8. In 1971, he reached with his compatriot Arthur Ashe the final against the Australian Roy Emerson and Rod Laver, but lost to him in five sets 6-4, 7:9, 8:6, 4:6 and 4:6. In single- Ralston was in 1966 against the Spaniard Manuel Santana in the finals and lost to him in three sets 4:6, 9:11 and 4:6.

In 1966 he won the American Clark Graebner the doubles competition of the French Tennis Championships against the Romanians Ilie Nastase and Ion Ţiriac in three sets 6:3, 6:3 and 6:0.

In 1987, Ralston was inducted into the International Tennis Hall of Fame.
