DENSO Corporation (株式会社 デンソーjap, Kabushiki - gaisha Denso ) is a company listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol 6902 global automotive supplier, especially for automobile electronics and automotive mechatronics. The company is located in the city of Kariya, Aichi Prefecture in Japan.

The company was founded on 16 December 1949 as Nippondenso Co. Ltd.. founded. DENSO is part of the Toyota Group.

Originally DENSO was the area for the production of electrical components of the Toyota Motor Co., Ltd.. and separated from after the Second World War, when the Japanese " war machine " was settled. DENSO WAVE has also invented the two-dimensional QR code next to the CCD scanning technology for 1D scanner. DENSO holds a 75 % majority of DENSO WAVE. The devices are manufactured by DENSO ELECS again, another DENSO subsidiary with its own factory in Agui far from Kariya.

DENSO was a sponsor of the Toyota Formula 1 team.
