Denys Hay
Denys Hay ( born August 29, 1915 in Newcastle upon Tyne, † 14 June 1994) was a British historian who dealt primarily with the Italian Renaissance and its impact on Europe. He was a professor of Medieval History at the University of Edinburgh.
Hay was educated at Oxford and was a lecturer from 1945 in Edinburgh.
He was co-editor of the first volume of the New Cambridge Modern History.
