Deportivo Pasto

Asociación Deportivo Pasto is a Colombian football club from Pasto in the Colombian province of Nariño, who currently plays in the Colombian league.

History

The club was founded on October 12, 1949 played since 1996 in the second Colombian League and in 1998 the first promotion to the first division. It was founded in 2006 for the first time Colombian soccer champions after he reached the final in 2002, but there was defeated Independiente Medellin. The club was relegated to the second division from 2009. In the first year in the second division Pasto became vice champion, but lost the play-offs against Envigado FC. One year later reached the summit. The club was right in the first season runner-up. In the Copa Colombia Deportivo Pasto reached twice the final, but lost it in 2009 in a penalty shootout against Santa Fe and 2012 against Atlético Nacional.

Stadium

Play their home games Deportivo Pasto from the multi-purpose stadium Estadio Departamental Libertad, which was built in 1954. After two major modifications between 2000 and 2007, it holds 19,700 spectators today.
