The mirror of the great Magus is a German fairy tale film from the year 1980. The resulting at the DEFA studios in the GDR film had on February 6, 1981 premiere.

Action

A powerful and wealthy king, Magus, does to people everything that comes to mind. All who refuse to comply with its suggestions, be transformed into an animal and locked in a cage. One day he kidnaps a girl, Hanna, he likes and he wants to marry it. But she refuses, like many others before her. Hanna has over the shepherds Elias, the Magus stole the sheep, love. Elias goes to the castle to free her. Pravos, the pity for him, told him that a mirror is to defeat only by the water of the Mondsee, may the great Magus take the magic power. He finds the mirror and redeemed with him the Magus transformed by humans. Finally, he holds Magus mirror to the face, there's nothing more of it remains. The mirror is destroyed, so Pravos can not be changed back. Elias and Hannah are a couple and live happily until the end of their days.
