The Czar can be photographed is a comic opera (opera buffa ) in one act by Kurt Weill (op. 21). The libretto Georg Kaiser. The premiere took place in 1928 at the Leipzig Neues Theater.

Action

Madame Angèle operates a well-known photo studio in Paris. A mate and an apprentice standing at her side. One day she receives a call, shall be notified by you, in a few minutes would arrive at her to be photographed by it, the Tsar of Russia.
