Derschen

Derschen is a municipality in the district of Old Churches ( Westerwald) in Rhineland- Palatinate. It belongs to the municipality Daaden.

Geography

Derschen lies at an altitude 400-450 meters above sea level. South of Derschen stems from the Derscher creek that flows near Steinches mill in the Daade. To the south lies the Friedewalder height, north of the derelict mountain and west of the mold Erich.

Neighboring towns of Derschen are Daaden in the north, and Mauden Emmerzhausen in the east, the south and Nisterberg Friedewald in the West.

History

The place Derschen was first mentioned in 1230 in documents, as a Konrad von Dersin occurs as Urkundszeuge in a litigation. Derschen belonged to the parish in the county of Sayn Daaden and since the 17th century zu Sayn- ​​old churches.
