Des Koch

The cooking (actually: Desmond Dalworth cooking; born May 10, 1932 at the Lincoln County, Tennessee; † January 26, 1991 in Los Angeles ) was an American discus thrower.

In 1955, he won, starting for the University of Southern California, the NCAA championship and became U.S. champion. The following year he won at the 1956 Olympic Games in Melbourne bronze behind his compatriots Al Oerter and Fortune Gordien.
