Dešná (Zlín District)

Dešná ( German Deschna ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located six kilometers north of Vizovice and belongs to Okres Zlín.

Geography

Dešná is located at the transition between the highlands and the host Vizovice One mountains in a left tributary of the Všeminka. To the north rises the Miluchov (506 m ) in the north- east, the Sobolice (516 m), the Syrákov ( 561 m) and Na Strážích ( 595 m ) east of the Vrchy (486 m ), in the south of CHRAST ( 438 m) and the Břízka (409 m ) and north-west of Nad Bařinami (534 m). To the west lies the dam Slušovice and southeast of the site the former automotive test track Dešná.

Neighboring towns are Trnava, Na Vrse and U Chlévů in the north, Všemina and V Jamach in the northeast, Trávníky, Závrší, Jasenná and Oškerovy Paseky in the east, U Matyjáků, Výpusta, Lutonina and Chrastěšov the southeast, Chrastěšovské Paseky Vizovice, Těchlov, Menšíky and Raková in the south, Neubuz, Březova and Nové Dvory the southwest, Hrobice in the west and Kašava in the northwest.

History

The first written mention of Deczna took place in 1373 in Olomouc Landtafel when the brothers Ondřej, Vojtěch Vlk of Sarov and sold the village along with Slušovice, Neubuz and Všemina to Schultze von Sternberg on Lukov. In 1407 the village was called Destzne and 1446 as Dessna. As of 1512 more than one owner is alternated, including the Lords of Kunštát and later the Nekesch Landek. The place name Desscznu has survived from 1548. From 1607 belonged to the dominion of Witschkow Lucretia, born Nekesch Landek, and 1610 whose second husband Albrecht of Wallenstein. This occurred Lukov 1625 to the Emperor from, who presented the rule to Stephan Schmidt of free Mayrhofen. From 1628 it acquired the Minkwitz of Minkwitzburg the now heavily indebted government. In 1671 the village was called Dessna. 1710 bought the Lords of Rottalblick Lukov with all accessories. John of Rottalblick sold the goods in 1724 to Johann Friedrich von Seilern - Aspang, whose descendants held the property until 1945. The basic accounts are held since 1790. From 1846 onwards the place name Desna was common. Until the mid- 19th century, the village remained subservient always Lukov.

After the abolition of patrimonial Desna / Deschna formed in 1850 a municipality in the district team Uherský Brod. As of 1855, the village belonged to the district Vizovice and from 1868 to the district Holešov. From 1872, the village was called Dešná. 1935 Dešná was assigned to the Zlín Region. The construction of the road to Chrastěšov was 1940. Dešná From 1949 belonged to Okres Gottwaldov - okolí and again from 1960 to Okres Gottwaldov up in 1990 again bears the name Okres Zlín after the political changes of 1989. Between 1976 and 1991 Dešná was incorporated to Slušovice. In 1985 was built with significant support from Audi on the road to Chrastěšov the rally test track Dešná, on, inter alia, Walter Röhrl, Armin Schwarz and Walter Mayer tested their vehicles. 1993 took on the knoll between Dešná and Chrastěšov last time tests to Barum rally instead. Then the track went on to a private owner who is motorsport little wink.
