Desorden Público

Desorden Público is a ska band from Venezuela, which was founded in 1985 in the east of Caracas from Horacio Blanco (vocals, guitar) and Jose Luis ' Caplis " Chacín ( bass).

The name means " public disorder / anxiety " and is a nod to the trucks of "public policy " of the National Guard.

Band History

In 1988, she got a record deal and recorded their first album " Desorden Público " on. This still has a rather simple, albeit high-energy sound, but already the typical socially critical lyrics with black humor.

Beginning of the 90s was also soul or jazz music gradually expanded to other styles of music (especially from the Caribbean ) as Salsa, Cumbia, Merengue. At this time they also recorded their second album "En Descomposición ", by which they were known internationally. Tours of the USA (1993 ), Mexico (1994 ) and Europe (1996, 2010, 2011 ) followed.

Other plates and tours brought Desorden Público gradually in a leading position of the ska movement in Latin America.
