The Tilburg Trappers are a Dutch ice hockey club from Tilburg, which was founded in 1938. The Trappers are among the most successful hockey clubs in the Netherlands. The club colors are yellow and blue. As is customary in the Dutch ice hockey run the Trappers on the name of the main sponsor. This is currently DISTIL why DISTIL Trappers can be seen on the shirts of the lettering.

History

Especially in the 70s the Tilburg Trappers were successful. Overall, they were 13 times Dutch champion ( 1971, 1972, 1973, 1974, 1975, 1976, 1992, 1994, 1995, 1996, 2001, 2007 and 2008 ) and twelve times Cup winners. The championship team 1971-1976 secured throughout.

Stadium

With an average attendance of 2,181 spectators ( 2008) per game the IJssportcentrum Tilburg is one of the most visited ice-hockey stadiums in the kingdom. The hall was built in 1996 holds 2,500 spectators and is one of the most modern in Holland.
