Deutsche Extrakt Kaffee

The German coffee extract (DEK ) is a German manufacturer and distributor of soluble coffee, soluble coffee drinks and coffee surrogates, based in Hamburg. The DEK is a medium sized privately owned company and part of the Cafea.

Focus is the production and sale of commercial private labels.

History

In 1955, the roasters and coffee Importers Max Herz, Walter Jacobs, Eduard Schopf and Bernhard Rothfos translated (* 1898 in St. Magnus, † 1998 in Hamburg ), in order to put their own works in the location, the complex and expensive process of coffee extraction ( both Nestlé and Maxwell House ) to operate together. The product range comprises soluble coffee production in all forms ( spray dried, agglomerated, freeze-dried, decaffeinated ), soluble coffee drinks such as cappuccino, milk and iced coffee and Kaffeesubstitute as cereal beverage in various compositions.
