Deutscher Koordinierungsrat der Gesellschaften für Christlich-Jüdische Zusammenarbeit

In federation German Coordinating Council of Societies for Christian - Jewish Cooperation (DKR ) have joined together 83 local and regional Societies for Christian - Jewish Cooperation with currently about 20,000 members in Germany. They are committed to the Jewish-Christian dialogue and cooperation between Christians and Jews, as well as for the processing of the Holocaust.

The DKR was founded on 10 November 1949 and has its headquarters in Bad Nauheim.

Activity

Since 1952, the Societies for Christian - Jewish Cooperation organized in March of each year the week of the brotherhood.

The DKR is the largest single member of the International Council of Christians and Jews ( ICCJ ) in which 32 national associations for Christian- Jewish Cooperation are represented. They devote themselves increasingly called Abrahamic dialogue between Jews, Christians and Muslims, the ICCJ due to his long experience in inter-religious dialogue can make models.

As patron of the German Coordinating Council acts, the respective President.

The DKR gives the renowned Buber- Rosenzweig Medal annually. In 1989, the companies that are represented in DKR, the Buber -Rosenzweig Foundation. Opened in 1992, the Foundation own education and conference facility in Bad Nauheim. The house is also open to other event organizers who work for the purposes of the Foundation.
