Deutscher Pfadfinderverband

The German Scout Association is a federation of sixteen independent scout frets in Germany. As a federative union he represents the interests of approximately 29,000 children and young people aged up to 27 years from all over Germany.

History

The DPV was built from groups of scouts, the covenant German scouts left in 1970 because of its increasing politicization and own, mostly regionally oriented Scout Unions founded. Initially, these frets closed eV together under the name of German scouts.

In May 1985, the DPV presented a request for inclusion in the ring German Scout associations ( RdP ), but was rejected on the grounds that before an association with the Federation of Scouts and Guides ( BdP ) would have to occur. At the general meeting in Berlin in 2007, the association Europe - Scouts has withdrawn from the DPV, This was due to the permanently low membership numbers. At the same time the Boy Scouts & Girl Scouts Federation was incorporated northern lights in the DPV.
