Dhampir

A Dhampir (also dhampir, dhamphir or dhampyr ) according to the folklore of South Eastern Europe and in vampire novels, the child of a vampire father and a human mother. More rarely, the reverse is possible in fictional stories.

A dhampir is said that he possessed the unique ability to also see vampires, if they are invisible and is particularly suitable to kill them. Most dhampirs have the advantages of vampire powers and weaknesses less than ordinary vampires, eg against the daylight, but their existence also attracts many common drawbacks, such as the typical blood vampire thirst for themselves.

In popular culture dhampirs are quite common.
