Dharmapuri (Tamil: தர்மபுரி Tarmapuri [ d̪aɾməpuɾi ] ) is a city in the southern Indian state of Tamil Nadu. It is located in the northern inland. The next largest cities are Salem 68 km south and 138 km north of Bangalore. The population is around 69,000 ( 2011 census ).

Dharmapuri is the capital of the eponymous district and seat of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Dharmapuri. Through the city leads the National Highway 7 which connects the longest highway in India with Varanasi Kanyakumari. Due to the narrow gauge line from Salem to Bangalore Dharmapuri is connected to the railway network.
