Dhawee Umponmaha

Dhawee Umponmaha (* November 15, 1959 in Amphoe Mueang Rayong ) is a former Thai boxer and Muay Thai fighter.

Umponmaha was bronze medalist of the World Cup 1983 in Rome. In the same year he won the silver medal at the Asian Games after the Asian champions from 1982 Kim Dong- Kil, South Korea. At the Olympic Games in 1984 Umponmaha reached after victories over Jaslal Pradhan, India ( 5-0 ), Charles Owiso, Kenya (3:2 ), David Griffiths, UK (4:1), Jorge Maysonet, Puerto Rico (5-0 ), and Mircea Fulger, Romania (5-0 ) in the final. In this he was Jerry Page, USA, against whom he defeated 5-0 Rinterstimmen and thus won the Olympic silver medal in the light welterweight.
