Dhritiman Chatterjee

Dhritiman Chatterjee (born Sundar Chatterjee, Bengali: ধৃতিমান চট্টোপাধ্যায়, Dhṛtimān Caṭṭopādhyāẏ; * May 30, 1945 ) is an Indian actor. He stepped up to his actual career in the advertising industry as an amateur in movies.

Chatterjee had his film debut in 1970 in Satyajit Ray's Pratidwandi as disillusioned unemployed graduates in Kolkata. After his second role in Mrinal Sen Padatik (1973 ) he was regarded as the embodiment of disoriented Kolkataer middle-class youth of the early 1970s, as it was depicted in paintings Bikash Bhattacharya and Mahasweta Devi's stories. In 1980, he starred with Smita Patil and Dipankar Dey in Sens Akaler Sandhane. He is particularly well known for his roles as a skeptic in Ray Agantuk (1991) and Aparna Sen known 15 Park Avenue ( 2005).
