The most important part of Hajj begins on the 7th day of Dhu al - Hijjah with a sermon and ends in the festival of sacrifice ʿ Idu l -Adha, which is celebrated from the 10th to the 13th of Dhu al - Hijjah. Some believers celebrate the ninth day of the month, the day before the Feast of Sacrifice, a day of fasting.
