Diamonds is an American comedy film from the year 1999., He was produced by the Total Film Group and the German Cinerenta media participation for Miramax.

In television broadcasting, he also ran under the alternative title The crooks with the diamond heart.

Action

The former, widowed boxing champion Harry Agensky fear of being deported after a stroke in the nursing home. To avoid this, he asks his son Lance and his grandson Michael to accompany him to Reno, where he has hidden ostensibly 13 diamonds. Reluctantly give the two gradually become familiar with Harry on the search. Lance and Michael consider the trip as an opportunity to get to know Harry.

Critics particularly praised the actor's performance of Kirk Douglas, but the film certified a bad plot, unbelievable characters and poor performance of the other actors. For Roger Ebert Douglas ' performance was, therefore, the only saving grace of an otherwise weak film.

The film was not a big success at the box office and launched only in 27 cinemas in the U.S., where it only took 88 428 U.S. dollars.
