Dianic Wicca

Dianische Wicca (English Dianic Wicca ) is an alignment within the neo-pagan Wicca movement, which was (better known as Starhawk ) founded in the 1970s by American women by Zsuzsanna Budapest and Miriam Simos. It enriches the Wiccan religion with elements of feminist Goddess spirituality. The name refers to the Roman goddess Diana, which was in the Middle Ages as the mistress of witches.

As the actual founder applies Zsuzsanna E. Budapest. She is the author of "The holy book of women 's mysteries" in which they contents of Wicca, influences Italian folk tradition from Charles Godfrey Leland's Aradia and the forward professional end Stregheria, elements of the science of religion of the 20th century, feminist standpoints and family tradition to a whole formed.

It justified the late 1970s, the first Dianic coven, the " Susan B. Anthony Coven # 1" in Venice, California. In the early 1980s moved to Oakland Budapest, where he founded a new coven. The original coven remained under the direction of Ruth Barrett and named in "Circle of Aradia " around.

A different orientation, which is also referred to as Dianische Wicca goes back to Morgan McFarland and Mark Roberts, the one Coven in Dallas, Texas founded in the early 1960s, the traditions of the traditional British, Gardner 's Wicca was essentially in line, but the focus placed on the approach to the goddess and her power. Unlike the Dianic Coven feminist orientation of the Horned God plays a crucial role here and also men can be members.
