Diario Sur

Diario Sur is a regional Spanish daily newspaper published in Málaga. It is of Prensa Malagueña, S. A. issued, which belongs to the media company Grupo Vocento.

History

The newspaper was first published in February 1937, then under the name Arriba, but it was soon renamed the SUR. Was liquidated Medios de Comunicación Social In 1984, del Estado, which the Diario Sur was a member, of the Sur was taken over by the staff, a group of 1500 business partners. At that time it was the only media company, which was held by the staff. 1989 we went along with Correo (now Grupo Vocento ) and founded the media group Prensa Malagueña, SA, which also includes the television Canal Málaga and the radio station Punto Radio Málaga heard.
