Use

Dibutyl sebacate is mainly used as plasticizers for plastics, and plastic films, but also in many cosmetic products, include skin and hair care cosmetics, and pharmaceutical capsules. Dibutyl sebacate may be included because of its low toxicity in food packaging. Furthermore, it acts film-forming and as retardants, which is why it is mixed explosives and highly reactive fuels such as fuel Otto 2 in torpedoes.
