Dick Cochran

Dick Cochran (actually Richard Lee Cochran, born June 23, 1938 in Tulsa ) is a retired American discus thrower.

At the Pan American Games in 1959 in Chicago, he won silver. The following year he was third in the U.S. elimination fights for the Olympic Games in Rome, where he won the bronze medal behind his compatriots Al Oerter and Babka Rink.

Starting for the University of Missouri, he won in 1959 and 1960 at the NCAA Championship.
