Dideba

Dideba ( German - It was praised Georgian - დიდება [ dideba ] ) is the title of the former Georgian national anthem. It was already used by the First Republic of Georgia from 1918 to 1921. Because Georgia sees the succession of this state, it was taken over in 1991. Lyrics and melody come from Kote Pozchweraschwili.

Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili had given in February 2004, a new national anthem in order. It was decided in April 2004 entitled Tavisupleba by Parliament.
