Didecyldimethylammoniumchloride ( DDAC - C10 ) is a colorless and odorless liquid and is one of the quaternary ammonium compounds.

Use

DDAC - C10 is used as disinfectants in many biocidal applications. The annual consumption in Switzerland was estimated at 30 tonnes, with surface disinfectant ( biocide in PT 2 ), disinfectant for the food and feed area ( 4) and wood preservatives ( 8) contribute the most to it. In molluscicides (product type 16) as well as insecticides, acaricides and products to control other arthropods (18 ), it may no longer be used since the beginning of 2008.
