Didier Dagueneau
Didier Dagueneau ( born 1956 in Saint- Andelain Dep Nièvre, France, .. † 17 September 2008 at Dep Dordogne) was a French winemaker.
Didier Dagueneau attended a wine school and made a very successful career as a world-class wineries of the Loire. With his wines from the grapes Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir, the world-renowned wines Chailloux, Buisson Renard, asteroids were made; the whites Pur Sang and Silex Pouilly- Fumé appellation were considered two of the world's best wines. He had a cult status among wine connoisseurs.
In addition to his profession he was a famous musher in sled dog races and won the European and World Championships.
He died in an accident with his microlight. He leaves behind a wife and four children.
