Didier Dinart ( born January 18, 1977 in Pointe -a- Pitre, French Antilles ) is a retired French handball player, which ran aground on the French national team. He is 1.97 m tall and weighs 104 kg. Didier Dinart is married and has one daughter. He is an officer of the French National Order of Merit.

Dinart was considered one of the best defensive players in the world. Mostly it was used only in defense; but he could also play as district runner.

Didier Dinart began his career at the Universite HB Guadeloupe in the French Antilles. After he had between time, hired at Dijon Bourgogne HB, this time on the French mainland, he finally moved to the top French club Montpellier HB. With the South of France, he won 1997/1998, 1998/1999, 1999/2000, 2001/2002 and 2002/2003 the French championship. He also won 2002/2003 with Montpellier the Champions League. In 2003 he moved to the top Spanish club BM Ciudad Real, with whom he was in 2003/2004, 2006/2007, 2007/2008, 2008/2009 and 2009/2010 Spanish champion and the 2005/2006 again won the Champions League and the Club Championship. 2007/2008 and 2008/2009, he won again with Ciudad Real the Champions League. Due to the license transfer from Ciudad Real to Madrid he played from 2011 to 2012 for BM Atlético de Madrid. In the summer of 2012, he joined the French club Paris Saint- Germain HB, with whom he 2012/13 won the championship. He then ended his career.

Didier Dinart played 376 international matches for the French men's national handball team. He was 2001 World Champion and 2006 European Champion. In 2005 he won the World Cup bronze. In the 2008 Olympics he won the gold medal with France. In 2009 he was World Champion in Croatia. In 2010, he won the European Championship in Austria. In 2011 he was World Champion again with the French team in Sweden. In the summer of 2012, he won with France at the Olympic Games in London again the gold medal.

Since 2013 he has been working primarily as an assistant coach of the French national team at the defensive work of the team. In 2014 he won the European Championship.
