Die Bambus-Bären-Bande

The Bamboo Bear gang (Fr. Bambou et Compagnie, Japanese Bamboo Bears (バンブー·ベアーズ, Bambu Beazu ) ) is a 52 -part animated series for children, which deals with environmental problems and conservation. Content

In the 52-part series is about the destruction of the environment, and the measures against it. Humanity is in this case represented by rats. These pollute and destroy nature. The series takes place in the period of the first phase of construction of the Three Gorges Dam in China from late 1993 to mid-2006.

Production

The series was produced in 1995 by Mitsui & Co. Ltd.. , ZDF Enterprises GmbH, ZDF, TF1 SA, TVE SA, 4D Marina and Pixibox Prod. The concept and the figures come from Sicco Kinyma. The book of the series was written by Dennis Livson and Jimmy Hibbert. The most labor-intensive part of the animation was created at the SEC animation studio in North Korea.

Television broadcasting

The German premiere of the first 12 episodes ran 25 March 1996 to 12 April 1996 in ARD and the remaining episodes from 18 September to November 2009 on ZDF. More broadcasts were in KI.KA, ORF1, SF1 and SF2 to see. Finally, the series ran from 27 August 2007 to November 8, 2007 in KI.KA.

The series has also been translated into Spanish, French, English and Japanese. For the German translation the Studio Hamburg was responsible. In France, the series ran on Canal J. first time on September 2, 1995
